Award-winning stylist and image architect Law Roach is the mastermind behind looks that have broken the internet time and again — from Zendaya at the Met Gala and Anya Taylor-Joy at the Golden Globe Awards to Lewis Hamilton’s streetwear and Céline Dion's style renaissance. Now, for the first time, Roach is sharing the secrets of his approach in a new book — How to Build a Fashion Icon: Notes on Confidence from the World's Only Image Architect, a groundbreaking guide for fashion-forward readers to become their ultimate, confident self.

Roach’s new book, released in September, takes readers behind the scenes of his process and journey through personal anecdotes from his Chicago childhood through his notable celebrity stylings. Part self-help guide and part manifesto, How to Build a Fashion Icon uses Roach’s most memorable styling moments to show readers how to live their most iconic, fashionable, and confident lives.  Law will be joined in conversation with SCAD FASH Executive Director, Alex Delotch Davis.

In a little over a decade, Roach has gone from industry outsider to the most celebrated name in style. He was the first African American to be featured on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter's Most Powerful Stylists issue and was honored with THR’s prestigious Stylist of the Year award two consecutive years. He also received the inaugural Stylist Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2022.

This event is presented in partnership with A Cappella Books, SCADshow, and SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film. Tickets are $35 for the general public and include a pre-signed book. Tickets are non-refundable.
