Road Trip: Improv Based on Real Stories
Experience the biggest independent improv show in Atlanta hosted by Madeline Evans at a special pop-up event at SCADshow. A completely improvised show based on real stories, the electric Road Trip: improv based on real stories is commonly referred to as the heartbeat of Atlanta improv and was most recently voted Audience's Choice for Large Ensemble in the Atlanta Fringe Festival.
The performance features a guest storyteller as well as a rotating cast of the best improv actors in Atlanta. Previous Road Trip storytellers include performers on America’s Got Talent, Parks and Recreation, Grace and Frankie, Animal Control, English Teacher, Dropout TV (Josh Ruben, Anna Garcia), and Wild N’ Out, among others.
Featured storytellers for this evening are some Atlanta favorites Jeena Wilder and Mel Mitchell.
Jeena Wilder is a content creator here in Atlanta, who shares her unique experience as a transracial adoptive parent and a mother of a multicultural family. She was born in New Jersey and raised in Georgia and is now a proud mother of five children.
Jeena is passionate about sharing her experience as mother and raising awareness about the challenges and joys of multicultural families. She currently has over 2.1 Million followers on TikTok and 674K followers on Instagram. Jeena is an absolute joy and we are so excited to welcome her to the Road Trip stage!!
Mel Mitchell is a dynamic and witty comedian who has left an indelible mark on the world of comedy and social media. Mel’s comedic journey began in 2018, fueled by a natural flair for humor, storytelling and a series of unfortunate events. Known for her infectious energy and relatable humor, Mel quickly gained recognition in the stand-up comedy circuit. Her ability to navigate and find humor in life’s tragedies resonated with audiences, earning her a dedicated following both on stage and on TikTok. Her content spans a wide range of topics, from hilarious observations about daily life to insightful commentary on popular movies, all delivered with her unique comedic style. Whether performing live on stage or crafting engaging digital content, Mel Mitchell has become a sought-after entertainer, celebrated for her authenticity and ability to make people laugh. Mel continues to evolve as a multi-talented performer, leaving an enduring impact on the comedy landscape.
